About Dr Marc Hempling…

Graduating from the University of Manchester in UK in 2000, Marc then completed his General Practice training in his home town of Brighton & Hove having passed his membership to the Royal College of GP’s in 2005. He was subsequently awarded a Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of GP’s in 2008 and commenced working in Australia in April 2009. Marc then spent 10 years working in Burleigh here on the Gold Coast and moved to the Mudgeeraba General Practice in March 2019.

During his early working life, Marc spent much of his time working in Paediatrics and Emergency Medicine and was awarded the Diploma in Child Health (UK) in 2003. He also received the Diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology (UK) in 2005. He enjoys all aspects of General Practice, from the acute emergency presentations to chronic disease management, antenatal care and especially paediatrics. Promoting healthy lifestyle to prevent and treat disease is a large part of the way Marc practices his medicine. Marc hopes to provide long-term care to his patients and their families for many years to come. Having come from a family of doctors – and in particular GP’s – he believes strongly in the value of continuity of care and traditional family centred General Practice.

Outside of medicine, Marc is married with three young children and enjoys his time spent outdoors and being active whenever possible. He enjoys sports, has travelled widely including working for a charity in Malawi, Africa in 2008/9, which he continues to support and promote (www.rippleafrica.org).
